The Challenge
In late 2022, Victim Services Toronto was undergoing a rebrand and needed website copy to bring their rebrand to life. They wanted to ensure the copy embodied a warm and non-judgmental tone and was written to be inclusive. The copy would help victims connect with immediate support, so it also needed to be clear and concise.

The Solution
For this project, we started by working collaboratively with Victim Services Toronto’s team and their website design partner to create a website architecture that outlined how the website’s content would be structured. From there, we created several copy options for the homepage headline. This would help set the direction for the tone and voice.
From there, we drafted copy for all of the pages, and worked with Victim Services Toronto’s team to collect any missing information and to make refinements. We paid special attention to the audience, and tailored different pages to different audiences, depending on whether the content was for victims, supporters, donor, or the general public.
Finally, when the website copy was complete, we met with the website designer to ensure a seamless handoff.
