Sparked Celebrates 1 Year (& Counting) of Green Website Hosting

May 15, 2022

This month, Sparked Digital celebrates one year of offering carbon-neutral website hosting services.

With the internet accounting for more than 2% of carbon emissions worldwide, green hosting is important now more than ever. Many organizations are looking to reduce their carbon footprint, and we’re proud to support that goal.

At Sparked, we use Google Cloud Platform to power our hosting infrastructure, meaning our clients’ websites (and our own) are carbon neutral and run on renewable energy sources. These sources include solar and wind power, and on average a Google Cloud data centre is two times as efficient as traditional options.
